Our Philosophy
Our concept is to mentor and guide through over the whole way. We hereby, in this preparatory course, are not just providing a traditional course that ends by the end of its last lecture, rather a continuous educational support, guidance and supervision over a time period that starts with the day of your registration till the exam day. Most of the candidates setting the exam worldwide will find it much easier, convenient and more rewarding and cost effective to be at their own home while having a virtual guidance through over a fairly long period of time till the exam day. We will give a comprehensive cover and continuous guide for all the haematology pillars rather than just a pre exam revision.
Course Structure
Dates: Twice annually, January and July. Exact dates for each course are announced
closer to the course.
Remember: The exam is held twice annually in March and September.
Course Duration: 4 days: Saturday and Sunday X 2 consecutive weekends
We start accepting registration ~ 4 months before the course. In March for July's course and in
September for January's.
On registration, we will send revision lists for each pillar of haematology
(Transfusion, Haem-Onc, General Haematology, Haemostasis, Lab, etc.). This includes:
- Comprehensive lists of topics that need to be revised to meet the haematology curriculum needs, with suggested sources for each title to align with the most updated UK practice and the examiners' expectations.
- Revision list for the laboratory topics that need to be covered and suggested sources for each title.
- An updated list of the major haematology trials and the important ongoing trials that you need to know for your exam.
Our lead secretary is deeply experienced in the admin aspects of the FRCPath exams. She is trained to triage
your questions during your revision journey.
2 weeks before the course: We will send an MCQ/EMQ sheet prepared exclusively by the course
panel and revised to meet the themes, trends, and structure of the exam, covering all aspects of
haematology.
Virtual Course Schedule:
- 1st Saturday: Haemostasis Day
- 1st Sunday: General Haematology Day
- 2nd Saturday: Transfusion Day
- 2nd Sunday: Haem-Onc Day
3 weeks before the exam day: Mock Essay Exam
